UV-C light, a type of ultraviolet light, has been used for various purposes throughout history. In the early 1900s, UV light was used to treat skin conditions. Later, in 1878, it was discovered that short-wavelength UV light could be used to sterilize bacteria. Since then, UV-C light has been used in various applications such as water treatment, air purification, and disinfection of surfaces. In recent years, the use of UV-C light has gained more attention due to its potential to combat infectious diseases such as COVID-19. The scientific community has recognized the effectiveness of UV-C light in killing microorganisms and has conducted extensive research on its applications and safety.
